About the MiG-25 Foxbat
Developed by the Soviet Union and entering service in the late 1960s, the MiG-25 was built largely from stainless steel to withstand the heat of sustained high-speed flight, reaching speeds over Mach 2.8 at extreme altitude. The MiG-25BM was a dedicated defense-suppression variant, carrying Kh-58 anti-radiation missiles to target enemy radar installations.
