About the MiG-15

The MiG-15 was a Soviet jet fighter that made its combat debut during the Korean War in the early 1950s. Powered by the Klimov VK-1 turbojet, it featured a swept-wing design for strong high-speed and high-altitude performance and was armed with cannon armament that made it a serious threat to United Nations aircraft, including the American F-86 Sabre. Widely exported, the MiG-15 remained in service with air forces around the world for decades.
