In post-World War II Denmark, a group of young German POWs is ordered to the deadly task of defusing landmines along the western coast, all 1.5 million of them. Little more than child soldiers, the POWs are inexperienced, and the casualties mount until the Danish commanding sergeant can look past nationality and see the humanity of his prisoners. Tense and heartfelt, a must see! 1 hr. 40 min.
