Used in bombing operations over Japan throughout the spring and summer of 1945, the Bockscar — a B-29 Superfortress delivered to the USAAF in March of that year — is most recognizable as the aircraft that dropped the "Fat Man" atomic bomb over Nagasaki on August 9, 1945. The mission was the second, and last, nuclear attack in history.

A historic replica of the iconic bomber, this 1/144 scale, Air Force 1 Model Company, die cast model — which includes a 1/72 scale reproduction of the "Fat Man" nuclear bomb — features that aircraft's signature nose art, realistic panel lines, a simulated canopy, rotating propellers, optional-position landing gear, authentic markings, and a mid-flight display stand. Measures approximately 8¼" long with an 11¾" wingspan.
