About the Junkers D.I
The Junkers D.I was a German monoplane fighter notable as the first all-metal fighter aircraft to reach operational units, distinguished by its corrugated duralumin skin. Only 41 were built, and the type reached a naval fighter unit by September 1918, just months before the end of the First World War.
