About the YF-23 Black Widow II

Developed by Northrop and McDonnell Douglas for the U.S. Air Force's Advanced Tactical Fighter competition in the late 1980s and early 1990s, the YF-23 was built for extreme stealth and supercruise performance, with a distinctive diamond-shaped wing and canted tail surfaces. It ultimately lost the competition to Lockheed's YF-22 and never entered production or operational service; this model's aggressor paint scheme is a fictional "what-if" livery rather than a historical marking.
