About Omaha Beach
On June 6, 1944, the 1st and 29th Infantry Divisions, part of V Corps under Maj. Gen. Leonard T. Gerow within Lt. Gen. Omar Bradley's First Army, landed on the stretch of Normandy coast codenamed Omaha Beach. The figures carry the typical individual weapons of that infantry, including the M1 Garand rifle, the Browning Automatic Rifle, the Thompson submachine gun and the .30-caliber Browning machine gun.
