About the A6M Zero

Introduced in 1940, the Mitsubishi A6M Zero combined long range and exceptional maneuverability, allowing it to escort bombers deep into contested territory and dominate early dogfights against Allied aircraft. It was armed with two 20mm cannons and two 7.7mm machine guns, though its light airframe left it without armor protection or self-sealing fuel tanks.
