About the UH-60 Black Hawk
Introduced in 1979, the twin-engine UH-60 can carry 11 fully equipped troops or more than 2,600 pounds of cargo internally, with additional cargo carried by external sling load. It is used for troop transport, medical evacuation, command and control, and aerial assault missions, and has served the U.S. Army and allied forces in combat, disaster relief and humanitarian operations worldwide.
