About the Tornado GR.1/IDS

The Panavia Tornado is a twin-engine, variable-sweep-wing multirole combat aircraft developed jointly by the United Kingdom, West Germany, and Italy. The IDS (Interdictor/Strike) variant, designated GR.1 in RAF service, flew low-level strike and interdiction missions during the 1991 Gulf War alongside German and Saudi operators of the type.
