About the book
On April 5, 1982, the British aircraft carriers HMS Hermes and HMS Invincible sailed for the South Atlantic as part of the task force sent to retake the Falkland Islands. With just 42 fighter jets available (28 Sea Harriers and 14 RAF Harrier GR.3s) against a larger Argentine air force, British Harriers provided air cover during the landings and later operated from a Forward Operating Base on the islands. The book covers how British forces achieved a Falklands air-to-air record of 21 Argentine jets shot down for no air-to-air losses, while examining the Harriers' ground-attack campaign and the roles of weapons technology, radar, electronic warfare, aerial reconnaissance and support helicopters.

Satisfying South Atlantic 1982 Falklands War Book
Very great book and reading material that gives reader insight to the conflict and how it unfolds and what lead the Brits under Mrs. Thatcher and her position of military usage within her governmental spectrum and body.
