Stan Stokes. Colonel Francis "Gabby" Gabreski, one of the most influential fighter pilots in American history, scored 25 aerial victories during World War II with another 6½ in Korea. Flying the P-47 Thunderbolt during the Second World War, Gabreski upgraded to the jet-powered F-86 Sabre in the early 1950s to combat the MiG-15s flown by both North Korean and Chinese aviators. This print depicts Gabreski's Sabre taking down an enemy fighter in MiG Alley during the first few months of 1951. Signed by the artist! 16"x 11½".
