About the Porsche 956
The Porsche 956 was a Group C endurance racer built around an aluminum monocoque chassis paired with a 2.65-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine producing over 600 horsepower. Fielded through the early-to-mid 1980s, the 956 won the 24 Hours of Le Mans four consecutive years, from 1982 through 1985.
