About the Peterbilt Model 589
Introduced in 2024, the Peterbilt Model 589 replaced the long-running Model 389 as the company's flagship on-highway conventional. It uses a 131-inch BBC day-cab configuration, with a cab lowered about two inches versus Peterbilt's Model 579 and 567 for an improved driving position and clearance.
