About the Sherman Jumbo and Bastogne

Jumbo Shermans carried extra-thick turret and hull armor and were typically used to spearhead assaults; only 254 were built. In December 1944, the 4th Armored Division broke through German lines to relieve the 101st Airborne Division at Bastogne, reaching the town on December 26, 1944.
