About the Battle of the Bulge
In the opening days of the Battle of the Bulge, only limited elements of the U.S. 9th Armored Division's Combat Command B Reserve were positioned to oppose the advancing German panzers. Days later, tanks from the U.S. 10th Armored Division moved into and around Bastogne to help defend the city.
