About this aircraft

No. 427 Squadron RCAF was adopted by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in May 1943, which presented the unit with a bronze lion and the nickname "Lion Squadron." This aircraft, already named "London's Revenge," was further decorated with MGM's lion artwork and the name "L for Lana" after actress Lana Turner.
