About the Flag
The figure carries a reproduction of George Washington's personal headquarters flag, a mid-blue silk banner bearing 13 white six-pointed stars arranged in a 3-2-3-2-3 pattern. During the Revolutionary War, the flag was flown to mark Washington's presence, his command post or his marquee tent, and it is considered one of the earliest surviving 13-star American flag designs.
