The McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II was considered one of the most outstanding fighter designs of its time. The Blue Angels were the U.S. Navy's Flight Demonstration Squadron whose mission was to show pride and professionalism during flight demonstrations. Established in 1946, the "Blues" flew the F-4 Phantom II from 1969 to 1974.
