About Diecast Promotions

Diecast Promotions was founded in 1996 by Fred Ertl III, whose father and grandfather had led the Ertl Toy Company for decades before him, giving DCP a direct link to one of American diecast's founding families. Operating out of Dubuque, Iowa, the company specialized in 1:64 scale die-cast replicas of semi trucks and trailers, built to match the specific paint, graphics, and configurations of real trucking operators. First Gear, Inc. acquired DCP in 2018, absorbing the brand and expanding its own 1:64 scale truck and trailer lineup with DCP's additional cab and trailer options.
