Developed in France in the early 1960s, the Z-8 is a three-engined transport helicopter of which less than 125 were ever manufactured. It does, however, have a relatively prolific service history around the world; it also remains in service with the People's Liberation Army in China.
This 1/144 scale, die cast model is an Air Force 1 reproduction of a Z-8 flying with the People's Liberation Navy. It features free-spinning rotors, see-through canopy and cabin windows, a well-equipped interior, authentic markings, and a metal display stand. Measures approximately 6¼" long with a 5¼" rotor-span.
