About Betty Boop
Created by Fleischer Studios under Max Fleischer, Betty Boop was introduced on August 9, 1930 in the Talkartoon short "Dizzy Dishes," where she first appeared as a dog-eared character before evolving over subsequent cartoons into the fully human, flapper-style figure now associated with the name. She went on to star in dozens of theatrical cartoons through the 1930s and remains a recognizable symbol of Jazz Age animation.
