Product Highlights
The B-29 Superfortress, best known as the aircraft to drop the nuclear weapons on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, was a strategic bomber used during World War II and the Korean War. It was one of the largest operational planes during the Second World War, and very advanced for its era, including a pressurized cabin and an electronic fire-control system. Nearly 4,000 units were manufactured — seeing service in four nations — and it was not officially retired until 1960.
This impressively sized, 1/72 scale plastic kit — which includes markings for both the "Enola Gay" and the Bockscar" Superfortresses — features realistically textured and engraved surfaces, a glazed nose, rotating propellers, detailed turbocharged radial engines, a well-equipped cockpit, a realistic bomb bay, fixed landing gear with treaded tires, and replicas of the two most famous atomic bombs in history: the "Fat Man" and "Little Boy." Assembly required. Skill level 3. Measures approximately 17" long with a 23½" wingspan.
