Description

Draminski. Described as either a battleship or battlecruiser, the Kriegsmarine's Scharnhorst was the lead ship of her class, which included one other ship, Gneisenau. The ship took a part in raids in the Atlantic on British merchant shipping, and also the invasion of Norway in 1940, where she and her sister ship sunk the aircraft carrier HMS Glorious and two of her escort destroyers. Scharnhorst was sunk by British naval forces during the Battle of the North Cape in late December, 1943. 336 pages, 1,000+ images, 10"x 9½", hardcover.
