Minted from 1878 to 1904 (and again in 1921), the Morgan dollar was authorized by the Bland-Allison Act, which required the U.S. Treasury to buy between two and four million dollars' worth of silver at market value to be coined each month (a bill vetoed by then-President Rutherford B. Hayes, who supported the gold standard, but was approved by Congress). Struck at the Carson City Mint, this authentic "Wild West" silver dollar (from the 1880s or 1890s), the most desired of all modern dollar coins, can be a part of your collection! 1½" diameter; lightly circulated condition.
