Description

Stokes. It's October 9, 1943, and Col. William Leverette of the 14th Fighter Group "makes ace" on a single mission as one of six P-38s defending a British cruiser and several destroyers. In an exciting 15-minute air battle, the P-38s managed to down sixteen Stukas and one Ju-88, with Leverette receiving credit for seven of the kills. This 16"x 11½" print is signed by the artist.
